We can deliver items to prisons as per the following instructions:
Firstly, please check with the prison staff if they will accept orders from Wordery & Blackwell's.
Also, please note that items ordered for delivery to a prison must not contain nudity, contain any inflammatory material such as racism, promote violence or be gang related.
Lastly, please check with the prison before ordering DVDs as some prisons will not accept them.
If the intended prison accepts orders from Wordery & Blackwell's, go to wordery.com. Sign in if you have an account or register for an account, if you'd like to open an account. Alternatively you can order as a guest if you'd prefer not to use an account. Then:
- Add your chosen book/s to the basket, then click on your basket and select checkout.
- Check the quantity and dispatch time. If you're happy with these, click 'Next: Delivery'
- Fill in your delivery address details NB Please ensure the prisoner's full name and prisoner number is included in the recipient name box at the top of the delivery address. If not included, the order will not be delivered and will be returned to us by the prison.
- Click 'Next: Payment' and select your payment preference.
- Complete your payment details
- Check the box to confirm once you have read our terms and conditions
- Click 'Continue' to be taken to the review order stage
- Once happy with your order details, click 'Place Order' to complete the order.

Take note of your order number on the right hand side and you're done.
Please be aware that Orders for prisons are sent by Parcelforce which is a non-trackable service. Prisons will refuse to accept parcels sent any other way.
